ትምህርት ቤቱ በ1923 ዓ.ም. በእቴጌ መነን አማካይነት ለሴት ተማሪዎች በራሳችው ወጪ ያሰሩት አዳሪ ትምህርት ቤት ሲሆን፤ በደርግ መንግስት ወደ መደበኛ ትምህርት ቤቱ ተቀይሮ ሲያገገለግል ቆይቶ በ2012 ዓ.ም. በአዲስ አበባ ከተማ አስተዳደር በጎ ፈቃድ ቀድሞ ወደ ነበረበት አዳሪ ትምህርት ቤት ተቀይሯል፡፡በአሁኑ ሰአት በአዲስ አበባ ከተማ አስተዳደር ባሉ የመንግስት ትምህርት ቤቶች 8ኛ ክፍል የተማሩ ተማሪዎች ባስመዘገቡት ውጤትና በትምህርት ቤቱ በሚሰጠው መግቢያ ፈተና ተወዳደረው ክፍተኛ ውጤት ያመጡ ተማሪዎችን የሚቀበል ሲሆን ትምህርት ቤቱ ከ9 ኛ እስከ 12 ኛ ክፍል ተማሪዎችን ያስተምራል፡፡ትምህርት ቤቱ የሚሰጣቸው አገልግሎቶች የትምህርት፣የመኝታ፣የህክምና እና የምግብ ናቸው፡፡
